Lego Indiana Jones: 7624 Jungle Duel

Welcome to my first ever Lego OSR (O-Old, S-Set, R-Review). Today I will give a review on Indiana Jones 7624 Jungle Duel. So, this set came out in 2008, it has 90 pieces, and was one of only two sets to include ants. I have the whole collection of Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sets so I will have some of those in my future Lego OSRs (not including the Comic-Con 2008 exclusive set). Anyway, back to the set, this set was priced at $9.99 USD and was the least expensive of the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sets (beside the BrickMaster set which was free). Now for the review, let's start with the minifigures. Irina Spalko: strange head, the appearance in general doesn't strike me as Irina Spalko from the movie, her torso however is quite accurate to the movie, and her legs match the plain gray pants she wears as well, plus her hair is good also. Mutt Williams: nice head, pretty good impersonation of LaBeouf (but it could be a bit better), torso is great, however, it wouldn't be great for MOC bikers because it has the name "mutt" on the right side of the front, dark blue pants, kind of uncommon, very nice piece, the hair is kind of off though, he doesn't have bangs. And last but (of course) not least, Indiana Jones: well it's the same head as all the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sets, I think they should have made a new head for the KCS sets since Ford was older by that point! Yep the same torso for what seems like every single Indiana Jones set (even though it's not), but I like it, it's a nice piece, and the legs look kind of like the legs of some guy, I don't know, I think his name was Han Solo? His hat is always a nice addition to any Lego collection. Now, the rest of the set. Tent: this is awesome, that's all I really need to say, I makes a great army camp tent or camping trip scene look great! The tent is made of a soft piece of some sort of cloth, not plastic. Table and bench with accessories: pretty nice, the breaking function can be annoying if your trying to display it (it can break (meant to happen) but it can be easily remedied with a piece or two attached to the top, like the map), average bench, nothing special, nice accessories, lamp, map, mug, pan, chicken, backpack, and banana. Sword stand (I don't truly get this thing's meaning, it's included in two sets but it's use is unknown, perhaps it's a weapon choice stand for Spalko?): a few nice swords and plant pieces, other than that, not very significant. And finally... The ants! These are great, they look like ants, except for the fact that they're half the size of a minifigure, even more deadly! This set comes with three! Well, I hope you liked this review and I hope this has helped you in some way or another. This is the Lego Spy, out. Don't forget to vote in the poll on the right of this page!
